The challenge

Many stores were in locations where fixed lines were slow to install or unreliable. MPLS was too expensive for small stores with modest traffic.

When a connection failed, card payments and stock updates stopped.

Our approach

  1. Survey coverage

We checked mobile coverage across store locations and chose carriers per region.

  2. Use dual SIM devices

Each store gets a compact router with two carriers for automatic failover.

  3. Prioritise payments

POS and inventory traffic get priority over everything else.

  4. Ship pre-configured

Devices arrive ready to plug in, so store staff can install them.

The solution

Every store now has reliable connectivity over 4G/5G, with automatic switching between carriers if one fails. Payments and stock updates keep flowing.

New stores are connected on opening day.
